Wang Wei is currently Head of Patent Policy at the Intellectual Property Department of Tencent Group, where he leads research on patent-related laws, regulations, and policy. He also serves as a Special Researcher at Tencent Research Institute.
Prior to joining Tencent, Wang Wei spent over a decade at the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), building extensive expertise in patent law and practice. He holds multiple professional affiliations, including membership in the Intellectual Property Law Research Society of the China Law Society; Certified Corporate Compliance Officer of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT); Secretary-General of the Online IP Committee and Expert of the Group Standards Expert Pool at the China Intellectual Property Research Association; Expert of the Beijing Intellectual Property Expert Pool; Committee Member of the New Retail and Live-Streaming E-Commerce Expert Committee under the Development Research Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation; and Vice Chair of the IP Valuation Committee of LESI (Licensing Executives Society International).
